Easyglaze Secondary Glazing Brown 1220mm Length
2 part DIY glazing solution with a brown finish
Reducing heat loss and therefore heating costs, Easyglaze is a two part method of installing glazing panels that is easy to install and is specifically designed for use with 2mm plastic glazing sheets.
Sturdy Stick-On Glazing Solution
The Easyglaze system is a double glazing solution that includes two durable PVC components—a foundational track and a snap-on cover strip. Available only in components which are sold in packs containing either 2.44-meter or 1.22-meter sections. The kit includes mitre beading to aid in crafting precise corner cuts. A self-adhesive strip is already affixed to the foundational track for easy mounting. We advise against using glass with this system.
Designed solely for indoor use, Easyglaze is applied directly to the window frame, enhancing both insulation and draught exclusion. For effective adhesion, ensure there is a minimum 15mm flat surface around the window to secure the adhesive foundation.
Useful Tips for Precision: For a clean mitre finish, place a short segment of mitre beading where the cut will be made, sandwiched between the base and cover strip. Cutting through all the layers at this point allows the cover strip to align at the right angle, resulting in a seamless mitre when affixed to the glazing material.
Sizing Your Plastic Sheeting:
Determine the dimensions of the current window pane—height (measurement A) and width (measurement B)—measuring only the visible glass, not including the frame.
To each dimension (A and B), add 12mm to identify the necessary size of the sheeting, making sure there's at least a 15mm flat mounting area on each side of your window.
Calculating Your Easyglaze Needs: 3. For installation, you'll need two lengths of the base section at measurement A plus 25mm and two lengths at measurement B plus 25mm. Sum these lengths to calculate the total amount of Easyglaze required for your window.
