Magnetglaze Kit White 5m Kit
Magnetglaze is a component of a straightforward magnetic attachment solution. It features a pair of 13mm strips – one is a metallic strip with a white surface and adhesive backing, and the other is a magnetic counterpart, also with an adhesive side. The metal strip is affixed to the window frame to outline the glazing area, while the magnetic strip adheres to the perimeter of the acrylic or plastic sheet. For larger or less insulated windows, our Magnetglaze Extreme offers 25mm wide strips for enhanced grip and stability.
The product is offered in convenient 5-meter kits or in larger 30-meter bulk packs to facilitate ease of use during the measuring and cutting process. Please note, Magnetglaze should be used exclusively for interior applications and is not suitable for glass or for application to skylights, operable windows, or doors.
Tips for Better Support: For windows exceeding 1200mm in either dimension, it's advisable to secure the sheet with a few screws or panel pins for added stability and to prevent detachment. As an alternative, you could opt for the Magnetglaze Extreme or size the sheet to rest on the windowsill.
Guidelines for Measuring Your Plastic Sheeting:
Take the measurements of the window up to the point where the metal strip will be placed. Record the vertical (A) and horizontal (B) dimensions, ensuring there's at least a 20mm flat mounting area on each side of the window.
To each of these measurements (A and B), add 25mm to determine the necessary sheet size for purchase.
Calculating Your Magnetglaze Requirements: 3. Calculate two lengths of the strip using measurement A plus 25mm, and two lengths using measurement B (without adding the extra 25mm). Sum these lengths to ascertain the total amount of Magnetglaze needed.
