MagnetGlaze
Magnetglaze is a simple and effective system for secondary glazing. It uses two self-adhesive strips: a metal strip for the window frame and a magnetic strip for the plastic sheet. Ideal for reducing drafts and noise, it's available in 5m kits or 30m bulk packs for easy handling and fitting. For larger or draftier windows, the 25mm wide Magnetglaze Extreme version offers stronger grip. Please note, it's designed for internal use only and should not be fitted to skylights or doors.
Installation
- Measure the window up to where the steel strip will be placed.
- Ensure at least a 20mm mounting surface.
- Add 25mm to both vertical and horizontal measurements to get the sheet size.
- For Magnetglaze, measure lengths A + 25mm and B to determine how much is needed.
- Clean and degrease the window surround.
- Attach magnetic strips to the plastic sheet edges.
- Position the panel and mark the window frame.
- Stick the metal strips inside the pencil marks.
- Attach the glazing panel and leave for 24 hours to allow bonding.
MagnetGlaze Pro
Magnetglaze Pro is a simple secondary glazing system that uses magnetic fixing with neat plastic capping for a clean finish. It’s designed for internal use on fixed window frames with 2, 3, or 4mm plastic sheets. It’s not suitable for use with glass or ceiling/roof lights for safety reasons. Steel tape adheres to the window frame, and the magnetic tape connects to the rigid PVC capping. No special tools are required, and the system looks tidy when mitred with the included mitre bead.
Installation
- Measure the window frame up to where the steel strip will go. Ensure a 20mm mounting surface.
- Add 28mm to both vertical (A) and horizontal (B) measurements for the sheet size.
- You’ll need 2 lengths of A + 33mm and B + 33mm for your window.
- Clean the window frame for good adhesion.
- Attach Magnetglaze Pro strips to the plastic panel edges.
- Fit the panel to the window, mark the frame, and attach the steel strip.
- Place the panel, leaving 24 hours for adhesive to bond.

MagnetGlaze Extreme
Magnetglaze Extreme is designed for large or draughty windows, offering strong grip with 25.4mm magnets and steel, ideal for heavy plastic glazing and windy conditions. It provides effective heat and noise insulation, while the pane remains easy to remove and reattach. Magnetglaze Extreme is stronger than the regular Magnetglaze system, recommended for smaller windows. Both systems use steel tape on the window frame and magnetic tape on the glazing panel for a neat finish. Not suitable for glass, doors, or roof lights. Full installation instructions and kits are available.
Installation
- Measure the window and frame where the steel strip will go (vertical "A" and horizontal "B"). Ensure at least a 30mm mounting surface.
- Add 55mm to both A and B to determine the size of the sheet.
- You’ll need 2 lengths of A + 55mm and 2 lengths of B.
- Clean the window frame.
- Apply the magnetic strip to the plastic sheet edges.
- Hold the panel in place, mark the frame, then attach the steel strip.
- Click the panel into place and let it bond for 24 hours.
SuperGlaze
Superglaze is a 2-part secondary glazing system suitable for 3mm or 4mm plastic or glass sheets. The base section holds the sheet and screws into the window frame, while a cover snaps into place, concealing the screws for a neat finish. It can be mitred for clean corners and offers effective insulation for heat retention and noise reduction.
Installation
Tools Needed:
- Fine-toothed saw
- mitre block
- tape measure
- bradawl
- screwdriver
Instructions:
- Measure the visible glass area (A for vertical, B for horizontal). Add 16mm to each.
- Ensure at least 20mm mounting surface per side.
- For Superglaze sides, add 39mm to A; for top/bottom, add 39mm to B.
- Snap cover into base, cut Superglaze strips with an added 23mm.
- Mitre corners at 45°.
- Attach base to panel edges, fix to window frame with screws, and replace cover strips without force.
ClipGlaze
Clipglaze flexible secondary glazing offers easy installation and has been providing heat and noise insulation for over 60 years. The flexible capping is fitted to the glazing sheet edges and secured with nylon turn button clips, allowing for easy removal for cleaning and reuse. Its flexibility makes it ideal for curved or arched windows. The edging strip may appear kinked due to coiling but softens when warmed. This system is perfect for insulating windows and ensuring access when needed, providing reliable insulation for decades.
Installation
- Mark 5cm from the end of the edging strip and cut carefully at the corners.
- Fit the edging strip around the sheet, marking each corner as you go.
- Place clips 5cm from each corner and space them 20-25cm apart along the edges.
- Position the sheet evenly over the frame.
- Attach clips at the bottom, top, and sides to secure the sheet.
- Ensure the sheet is clean and dry before installation.
EasyGlaze
This glazing system provides heat and noise insulation using 2mm plastic sheets. The base section has adhesive tape and sticks to the window frame, while the glazing sheet is placed in the frame. A cover strip clips into place, securing the sheet and creating a thermal seal. The system can be easily mitred for a neat finish and is for internal use only. Glass is not suitable for this product, and there should be at least 15mm of flat surface around the window for proper installation.
Installation
- Measure the visible glass.
- Add 12mm to A and B for the sheet size.
- Ensure at least 15mm of mounting surface.
- Cut two lengths of A + 25mm and B + 25mm.
- Attach Easyglaze strips to the panel edges.
- Mark the frame and clean the surface.
- Apply the adhesive base to the window frame.
- Place the panel and press the cover strips in place.
TrackGlaze
Trackglaze is a sliding secondary glazing system using 4mm glazing sheets, offering insulation and easy access to outer windows. It uses PVC double sliding tracks on all four sides of the window, with a bristle seal for a tight fit and a finger pull handle for easy operation. The system is easy to install with self-adhesive tape on each component, providing excellent thermal and noise insulation. Tracks can be reinforced with additional fixings if needed for a secure fit.
Installation
Tools Needed:
- Fine-tooth saw
- Pencil
- Tape measure
- Gloves
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Measure the window frame (A horizontally, B vertically).
- For glazing height, subtract 13mm (glass) or 12mm (acrylic/polycarbonate) from B.
- For glazing width (A), add 4mm for a 2-panel system or 8mm per additional panel.
- Clean the frame, cut and install top/bottom tracks (A), then side tracks (B-25mm).
- Apply Bristle Seal to rear and front panels.
- Insert panels into tracks, ensuring seals align.
- Add finger pull angle to front panel for easy sliding.

2. What sizes are available?
The thickness options we supply are 2mm, 3mm or 4mm. Once we have these, select the polish, curve, holes, screws, adhesives, and cleaning supplies.
Acrylic sheets maximum size are 3040x2040mm, whereas secondary glazing is 1500x1500mm. If you’re unsure about the quality, you can order a 150x150mm sample.
3. What materials are used?
We only use clear acrylic sheets as they mimic glass the best while introducing new benefits and features.
This material is cost-effective, easy to maintain, stronger than glass, and lightweight. It also includes protective film layers on both sides. It won’t discolour from UV rays, and it offers thermal insulation and can resist chemicals.
4. Quick Installation Steps
Depending on the options you chose, you may need a screwdriver or drill. We can supply the drill holes and screws for you. If you don’t need these, you will need just the material, adhesive, and cleaning supplies. If you miscalculated the size, shave them down using a saw or utility knife, but you may need to polish the corners.

- Clean the frame (this is not your sheet, but the area you’re placing it onto)
- Measure the frame
- Cut the adhesive to these measurements
- Apply adhesive to the frame
- Peel off the first protective film from the sheet
- Apply the adhesive to the sheet
- Apply the sheet to the frame
- Peel off the second protective film
5. How easy is it to maintain?
Maintenance is fairly easy. Regularly clean the sheet to remove dust, dirt, and grime with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid materials that could scratch the surface.
Ensure you check for gaps, leakages, and condensation. This may be a sign it’s coming loose or wasn’t installed correctly. If they are too small or broken, it is cheaper to replace them than try to fix them. acrylic glazing sheets can last for years with regular maintenance, but when it’s time, they are easily removed too.
